Crystal when frozen. Freezing Point higher than 1.

Slightly resolvable in water 0.4%0.6%. Resolvable in Propanediol.  Mutually resolvable with Ethanol and Oil.

 Extract Method

Fractionated from some essence oil containing rich 1,8-Cineolewith fraction range 170180℃). For example, Eucalyptus Globulus Oil ,containing about  60% 18-Cineolecan be fractionated from and then be seperated from to get the 18-Cineole.

 Usage:

Use range and Dosage:

 1It is stipulated in Chinese "Hygienic Standards for Food Additives in Use"GB 2760-1996that, appropriate dosage of the substance can be applied in confecting varieties of foodstuff flavoring essence.

 2Stipulated in FEMA, the highest reference dosage of the substance employed in different foodstuff is respectively as follows: 0.13/ in soft drink0.50/ in ice cream and other edible ice; 15/ in candy0.54.0/ in baked and toasted foodstuff190/ in gum

 3Actual Dosage employment reference1,8-Cineol is fresh, has diffusibility and a cool and fresh scent like camphor. It is poor in persistent. It tastes sweet, fresh and cool, like camphor. It is widely used in foodstuff flavoring essence, especially in oral health medicamentdentifricegarglecough syrup, etc..  The normal density in the final flavored products is  115/㎏,while it can reach as high as 200/ in Gum.
